The Gurgaon College of Engineering for Women, an embodiment of the vision, inspiration and zeal of illustrious Sh. Vijay Gupta & Sh. Ranjan Aggarwal, has been established in June 2008 under the aegis of philanthropic trust Shree Krishna Educational Trust to meet the need of women technocrats and managers with sound theoretical and practical knowledge. To their credit, they have also promoted few other engineering institutions of repute in the state of Haryana imparting UG & PG courses in the field of engineering and management.

GCEW is situated in a 5.1 acre lush-green, pollution-free, quite ambience with an aesthetically designed landscape, healthy and natural environment at Bilaspur which is at distance of 26 km from Rajeev Chowk (Gurgaon) on NH-8, Delhi-Jaipur Expressway. All roadways buses running on NH-8 from Delhi (Dhaula Kuan) towards Jaipur, Riwari and Alwar passes through Bilaspur (old Toll). The campus is about 1 km from Bilaspur chowk and is located on Bilaspur-Tauru Road.

This college of engineering has a locational advantage of having large industrial areas near-by. These are Gurgaon Industrial Area, IMT Manesar, Dharuhera Industrial Area, Bhiwadi Industrial Area. Here students of GCEW will have advantage of placements in near future.
